Lodge Ballot Box

We have all heard the saying to be "Black Balled".  Note the black ball in the marbles.  This box was passed around the members as a vote.  Members would select a ball and place it in the hole.  The black ball was a vote of rejection.  The open section is the results area.  The right side of the box was opened by members who then placed the marbles in the hole seen in the middle.  It was only used as a vote for membership.
