Early building had a number of different retail outlets. Men and boy's wear, grocery store and butcher shop. Today it is the office of the Ladysmith Chronicle and a very nice restaurant. Just before that it was known as the Morrison Block and contained a shop and a garage. Note the change in the building front when it was changed from wood to brick.
